Wildlife/Outdoors - Dundee & Angus

Gannochy Bridge and The Rocks of Solitude
A riverside walk where the salmon leap.

Montrose Basin Wildlife Centre (SWT)
With a variety of different zones: mud, fresh water, sea water, brackish water, saltmarsh, reedbed and grassland the basin is notable for its birds and plant life.

Reekie Linn Falls
A 24 feet waterfall with 'smoking pool'.

RSPB Loch of Kinnordy Nature Reserve
This shallow loch is situated in a natural basin surrounded by farmland and attracts all types of wildlife.

Seaton Cliffs Nature Trail
Seaton Cliffs has spectacular red sandstone cliffs with many sea caves, stacks, blowholes and arches formed by sea erosion. The cliffs support species-rich maritime grassland vegetation and there are also areas of wooded gorge, saltmarsh and sand dunes.

Camperdown Wildlife Centre
Camperdown Country Park is the largest public park in Dundee and owes its name and fame to the victory of Admiral Adam Duncan over the Dutch fleet in 1797 at the Battle of Camperdown, off the Dutch coast. The park which is home to no fewer than 190 species of trees, was opened to the public in 1949.

Mountains Animal Sanctuary
A haven for horses, ponies and donkeys, many of whom have been rescued.

Peel Farm Coffee & Crafts
Peel Farm is a rural business which has grown and developed over the past 20 years and which now offers the perfect venue for a great day out in Glen Isla.

Pitmuies Gardens & Walks
Two semi-formal wall gardens adjoin 18th century house and shelter long border of herbaceous perennials, superb delphiniums, old fashioned roses and pavings of violas and dianthus.
