The historic building dates from 1823, and was previously the home of the Royal Scottish Automobile Club. It has been transformed into a luxury hotel and spa, retaining some original architectural features, such as marble fireplaces, wood paneling and lofty, ornate ceilings, and against the aristocratic backdrop, sympathetic, rich, textural design has been applied.
